The CzechBio association was founded 18th December 2008 by 20 biotech companies and 1 Academic Institute.

Here are the first historical milestones of CzechBio:

• August 19, 2008:      the 1st preparatory steering meeting
• September 9, 2008:  the 1st general assembly of biotech    companies at IBT
• November 12, 2008:  the 2nd preparatory assembly at IBT
• December 12, 2008:  establishing assembly of CzechBio
• December 18, 2008:  legal establishment of CzechBio

Since the CzechBio organized number of meetings and managed to grow by May 2011 to 34 corporate and academic institutes becoming thus major biotech platform in the Czech Republic.
